A Decorative T shirt Layout

Production Procedure of a Raglan Sleeve T shirt (Sewing)

  • HP is used to define HELPER process.
  • PS is used for PLAIN STITCH machine.
  • FL for FLATLOCK machine &
  • OL for OVERLOCK machine process
  • FA for FEED OF THE ARM machine
  01. Front Triangular position mark-HP
A helper marks by cutting small portion of the front mid part
  02. Triangular Part attach-PS
Triangular part is attached at the 'top-middle' position of front part.

  03. Triangular  decorative Top stitch-FL
A decorative top stitch is given over the previous stitch.

  04. Triangular  security tuck-PS
A tuck is given at the end area of this topstitch to secure the decoration and help to put-off excessive thread.
 
  05. Point decorative thread remove-HP
A helper removes the excessive thread exceeds from the previous tuck.
  06. Back front  & sleeve match- HP
Sleeve and main body parts are aligned and folded together.
  07. Raglan sleeve join with Back part- OL
Two raglan sleeve is joined with back part.
  08. Raglan sleeve join with Front part- OL
Same way two sleeve is attached front part.
  09. Front sleeve top stitch & cut- FL
Top stitch is given on the previous stitch.

  10. Back sleeve top stitch & cut- FL
Just like previous,top stitch is given at back sleeve join.
  11. Neck Rib make & cut -HP
Neck rib is marked according to requirement and aligned after cutting.
  12. Neck rib join - OL
Neck rib is joined.
  13. Neck round top stitch- FL
Topstitch is given around the neck.
  14. Back tape shoulder to shoulder- FA
Back Tape is attached from shoulder to shoulder.See following image to see the the view after adding back tape and tucked.
  15. Back tape end tuck & cut-PS
Two end of Backtape is cut and tucked.
  16. Main Label Make - PS
Main label is made by attaching two label (will vary for different style and buyer requirement )
  17. Main label attach - PS
Main label is attached with body.
  18. Sleeve rib measurement surge - OL
A thread-less overlock machine is used to surge sleeve rib (cuff).
  19. Sleeve rib join - OL
Rib is joined with sleeve.
  20. Sleeve rib top stitch - FL
A topstitch is give on the previous stitch.
  21. Sleeve inner tuck - PS
A tuck is give on inner side of the sleeve.
  22. Side seam - OL
Side seam is closed.
  23. Sleeve outer tuck - PS
Sleeve outer tuck is applied.
  24. Bottom rib make - PS
Rib is marked and two end is stitched together.

  25. Bottom rib cut - HP
Excessive part is cut off and folded horizontally.
  26. Bottom rib join - OL
Rib is attached with bottom.
  27. Bottom rib top stitch - FL
A topstitch is given on th join.
  28. Bottom batch label attach - PS

  29. Care label make(6 points) - PS
Care label is made.
  30. Care label Attach - PS
Care label is attached.

Single Placket Polo

A Single Placket Polo Shirt's Production (Without Collar Band)



Notes for shortcut-
  •  HP - Helper
  • OL - Overlock Machine
  • PL - Plain Stitch Machine
  • FL - Flatlock Machine

Step by step procedure are shown here-

   01. Body Mark for Placket - HP
Body is marked for placket attaching by pencil.
   02. Placket Length Mark & Serge - OL
Placket is marked for attaching with body.

   03. Placket Join With Body - PL
U-shape stitch is created by plainstitch machine.

   04. Placket 1/16 Top Stitch - PL
Folded to right side and top stitch is used with 1/16 foot plainstitch machine.

   05. Placket Point Cut - HP
With the help of scissor, placket is cut upto 2cm away from last length mark point.

   06. Placket Nose Tuck - PL
Two nose tuck is given on the upper beginning of the placket.

   07. Back & Front Match - HP
Back and front part is aligned folded one over one according to serial.
   08. Shoulder Join - OL
Both shoulder is joined one after one.
   09. Collar Mark & Serge - OL
Collar is marked with chalk and serged by blank thread overlock machine.

   10. Collar Tuck with Body - PL
Collar is tucked with body at both end.

   11. Collar Join with Body - OL
Collar is attached with body.

   12. Neck Piping - F/L
Neck piping is done.

   13. Neck Top Stitch with Label - PL

   14. Neck 1/16 Top Stitch - PL

   15. Pattern Top Stitch - PL

   16. Placket Fold to Inside & End Tuck - PL

   17. Care Label Make - PL
Required no of labels are attached together one under one with a plain stitch machine.
   18. Care Label Join With Body - PL

   19. Body Hem - FL
Separately done on both parts.
   20. Cuff Servicing - OL
   21. Cuff Join With Sleeve - OL

   22. Cuff Top Stitch - FL

   23. Sleeve Join With Body - OL

   24. Armhole Top Stitch - FL

   25. Thread Putoff & Body Turn - HP
Excess sewing threads are removed and body is turned to outer side.
   26. Sleeve Inner Tuck - PL

   27. Main Label Join With Body - PL
Any other label that is attached at side seam are joined. In this style that was a main/brand label.

   28. Side Seam Close - OL

   29. Side Band Overlock - OL

   30. Sleeve Outer Tuck - PL

   31. Side Band Make - H
Sideband is created by help of flatlock machine by entering piping (Ribbon Shaped long fabric) and later is cut according to the required size.
   32. Side Band Bow Make - PL

   33. Side Band Join - PL

   34. Side Band Top Stitch - PL

   35. Buttonhole Create - BH

   36. Button Attaching - BA
